Destiny Islands is a Kingdom Hearts game site and online magazine. It’s a project I’ve been working on with my close buddy Nathan Maillet since Summer 2007. It has been through many re-designs.

This current version is running on WordPress 3 with a custom theme. The project required lots of HTML/CSS3 code to finish the template, plus all the WordPress PHP functions and filters. There’s also a bit of simple jQuery in the side navigation menus.

This was a great start into programming with the WordPress featured image functionality. Also we customized the wp-login form page which looks fantastic. CSS has never been so beautiful.

The site is home to not just text-based content but also image galleries, videos, and streaming audio. The project is still in active development and I’m frequently churning away at small nic-nacs.
